The remnant of our people
sweeping westward, wild and woeful.
Like the cloud - rach of a tempest;
like the withered leaves of autumn." |
When Dream is imprisoned at the time of the world turning, glamour begins to fade. Changelings of the Court of Regulus gather, at what could be the last dreaming court. The worst fears of the Fae have come true as the firebrands have failed to appear - a very bad omen indeed. In fact the Festival of Imbolic has been delayed because of it.
But word has come that the travellers from the High King are soon to arrive and the Balefire can be replenished. Bard's Day has been called and the performers arrive to play whilst the curious play amongst the flowers. Finally, after the long darkness of winter, the cold wind of Banality will be turned back and Dream will be let free to reign again.
The cry goes out across the land - "All Kithain, be welcome!"
